The lack of an audience, this is one of the safety rules, brought a bit of melancholy to our drivers, who however did not lose their grit and still kept hundreds of fans glued to their screens who were able to follow the live broadcast online.

The departure from Piazza Silvio Cerruti (Città Studi) Biella at 18.16, kicked off the special stages on a route that has undergone changes compared to the previous year: times were tighter and the routes of Rosazza, Tracciolino and Curino more short. The suggestive nocturnal ascent to Oropa was also excluded. The three thorny sections gave rise to 7 special stages for a total of 237 km, of which 54.6 were timed.

After two intense days of competition, this year’s winning crew is Crugnola-Ometto on the Citroën C3 R5, the car with which they participate in the Italian Rally Championship and which recorded the best time in 6 out of 7 races.

On the podium follow Pinzano-Zegna, penalized by a puncture that caused a 20-second stop, and by Chentre-Canapa, last year’s winners who therefore reconfirm their dexterity.

An awards ceremony without the exultant public, without the evocative scenery of the Cathedral of Biella and without the joyous final party, but nonetheless full of emotion. We at Max Application wanted to support this historic event dear to the Biella area now more than ever, with the certainty that next year will come back more exciting than ever.
